Our love story did not begin with mystery. It began with years of context, mutual friends, and enough prior knowledge to make a background check unnecessary. When our friendship changed, we did what we do best: discussed it extensively. We considered risks, feelings, timing, and at least three hypothetical outcomes that never occurred. Beneath all that analysis was a very simple truth—I already trusted you with my real life. Romance did not replace our friendship. It revealed another room inside it. I still want your opinion, your ridiculous observations, and the honesty that has never depended on impressing me. I also get to reach for your hand, which remains an excellent development. Thank you for being brave enough to change something precious without treating the old form as disposable. Whatever our story becomes, I want friendship to remain its grammar: respect, curiosity, laughter, and the freedom to tell the truth. Best plot twist ever. Even if we did require several meetings to approve it.
