04 · Keep the boundary clear
Protect facts, permission, and private context
A writing tool cannot know whether a memory happened exactly as described or whether another person would want it repeated in public. Treat every generated sentence as a proposal, then verify names, relationships, quotations, promises, and the right to share the detail.
Specificity does not require complete disclosure. When a private fact helps you understand the feeling but does not belong in the room, replace it with the smaller emotional truth the listener needs. That preserves meaning without turning intimacy into evidence.
05 · Stay after the draft
Edit for the person speaking and the room listening
Read the draft aloud at a calm pace. Circle words you would never choose in conversation, cut sentences that need speed to fit, and notice where a transition asks the listener to hold too much setup before the point arrives.
Use whole-draft revision for a genuinely different structure, voice controls for the overall register, and line-level tuning when one passage is nearly right. Direct editing remains the final authority because only the speaker can decide what sounds lived.

Judge the workflow by what it lets you control
Before paying for any writing product, confirm what is free, what the purchase unlocks, whether billing repeats, how drafts are stored, what data leaves the device, and whether the work can be edited and exported in a useful form.
The first draft is not the finish line. A suitable tool should leave you with accurate language, a visible revision path, and a page you can rehearse. If a faster free option already gives you everything you need, keep the simpler tool and spend the saved time reading aloud.
